Happy Easter

So the peacocks and I put together a little get together for Easter this year. I give the Easter Bunny credit because I found out first hand how much work it was coordinating with him on hiding the eggs. The set up and text-planning was well worth it. The kids had a blast and the food was, lets just say “aaaaahhhmazing”. I got introduced to my new favorite chip dip (thanks Deb). Well I hope you enjoy these pictures, they are a little late, but better late than never!

My Family

This year, we were blessed with another little bundle of joy, our son, Jase Macklin. Neva is a proud, proud big sister and we are so glad to be home for the holidays! I had a little help from a few friend taking these pictures. Thank you Sarah and Chris :) .

Chloe Mattheis

Earlier this summer I took Chloe out for a mini session. I had just gotten back from school and needed to get back into taking photos again. Chloe is following in her sister, Charlotte’s footsteps and becoming my “on-call” model, lol. Sorry it took me so long to finally post these, but here is gorgeous Chloe :)

Devynn Johnson {Senior}

Image

Devynn asked me to do her senior pictures and of course I jumped on it! She is absolutely gorgeous. And she is a photographer herself so it made it extra fun. We chatted about me getting started in photography and our likes and dislikes about portrait photography in particular. Being on the varsity volleyball team, Devynn’s schedule wasn’t that wide open. But we fit her in right before she started traveling every weekend. We intend to do another shoot when her life slows down a bit. Here is the first batch of previews. Enjoy!

Grandma’s baby girl

This fall was a roller coaster of emotion for me and my family. Ups and downs. I lost my mother a little over a week ago, the hardest thing that I have ever had to experience. It was especially hard because I knew how much her grandkids meant to her. Becoming a mother myself opened a whole new door of sensitivity that I never knew I had. Being a mother, you relate other peoples experiences to your own and always think of your children. Being a mother, didn’t only open a door of worry and what-ifs, it opened a door of joy and an unconditional love for my child and the one on the way. My daughter, Neva had a special place in her grandma’s heart and will always miss her. It’s been a while since I posted pictures of Neva, but today I am. I hope you enjoy my little sunshine as much as my mom did and I still do :D
